Aikyashree scholarship is the state government scholarship of West Bengal under the West Bengal Minority Development and Finance Corporation (WBMDFC). This scholarship is for minority students (Muslims, Christian, Sikhs, etc.) of West Bengal which is intended to support talented students of West Bengal. Students from Class 1 to Ph.D. level can apply for various WB Government scholarship schemes through the WBMDFC Aikyashree Scholarship Portal.

WB Pre Matric Scholarship (Classes 1 to 10) |

3. Scholarship amount ranges from 1100 – 11000 per annum, subject to actuals. |
Post Matric Scholarship (Classes XI to Ph.D.) |

1. Student pursuing higher secondary, ITI, Diploma, Graduation, Post-Graduation, M.Phill, B.Ed, etc. |
2. Annual family income of the applicant shouldn’t exceed 2 Lakhs. |
3. Scholarship amount maximum up to 16000 /- per annum, subject to actuals. |
WB Merit cum Means Scholarship (For technical & Professional courses) |

1. Student domiciled in West Bengal and pursuing undergraduate, post-graduate, professional, technical courses in a recognized institution in West Bengal, affiliated to any recognized university. However, students domiciled in West Bengal and pursuing their courses in any of the listed institutions only like IIT, IIM, NIT, NIFT, etc. In or outside West Bengal are also eligible. |
2. Annual family income of the applicant shouldn’t exceed 2.5 Lakhs. |
3. Scholarship amount maximum up to 33000 /- per annum, subject to actuals. |
4. Students of the listed institutes will get reimbursement of the tuition fee (as per the list of institutes available at www.wbmdfc.org) |
WB Talent Support Scholarship (For students securing less than 50% marks) |

1. Student pursuing higher secondary, graduation, post-graduation, M.phill. P.HD, etc. Except for professional and technical courses, are eligible. |
2. Students who have secured less than 50% marks and passed the last exam. |
3. Annual family income of the student should not exceed 2 lakh per year. |
4. Institution must be located in West Bengal. |
5. Scholarship amount ranges from 2550 to 4900 per annum. |
Swami Vivekananda Merit cum Means Scholarship (SVMCM) (For meritorious students from XI to Post Graduate) |
---|
1. Students domiciled in West Bengal and pursuing post-matric levels in the regular courses are eligible. |
2. Institution must be also located in West Bengal. |
3. Students studying in educational institutions of this state after clearing the examinations of West Bengal board of secondary education / West Bengal Council of higher secondary education / West Bengal Madrasah board and/or from other recognized boards of West Bengal, are eligible. |
4. The students must have passed his / her examination in the current year only. |
5. Annual family income of the student should not exceed 2.5 lakh per year. |
6. Scholarship amount ranges from 12000 to 60,000 per annum. |
7. RENEWAL:- Students in receipt of the scholarship for application filled in 2019-2020, and securing at least 60% in undergraduate and 50% in postgraduate courses in last year examination are eligible for renewal. |
Important Instructions
- Candidates domiciled in West Bengal only are eligible to apply.
- The student must have passed the last examination with at least 50% marks (except for class 1).
- A student is eligible for a scholarship from anyone course only.
- One mobile number can be used for the registration of one application only. However, in the case of pre-metric scholarship, a maximum of two applications can be filled through one mobile number.
- After submitting the online application, the student must take a printout of the same and submit it to the concerned institute, along with a photocopy of the bank passbook containing the bank account number and IFSC code.
