About Bank of America Scholarship

America Student Leaders Program gives an opportunity for young students to create and apply leadership abilities through hands-on community work involvement. Selected students will participate in 8 weeks paid internship at a local nonprofit/charitable organization which is selected by Bank of America. It helps to connect community-minded high school juniors and seniors to employment, skills development, and service.

Deadline: Student Leaders application will be open from November 4 – January 31, annually.

Eligibility of America Scholarship

  • Currently junior or senior in high school, in good standing in school.
  • Be able to take part in an 8-week paid internship at a neighborhood nonprofit/charitable organization (chosen by Bank of America) and work 35 hours a week.
  • Be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship through the end of September.
  • Completed the online application and obtain a letter of recommendation from a teacher, guidance counselor, or school administrator.

Benefits Bank of America Scholarship

Each winner will receive a paid internship at a local nonprofit/charitable organization selected by Bank of America and participate in the annual Student Leadership Summit in Washington, D. C.

Host Organization shall pay each Student Leader an hourly pay rate of $17/hour or in accordance with state/local minimum wage rates, whichever amount is greater, to those Student Leaders who complete the full 8 weeks of the Program.
