About Bill Kane Undergraduate Scholarship

Undergraduate students majoring in health education enrolled in an approved college or university in the United States or a U.S. territory are eligible for the scholarship. The prize is a yearly $1,000 scholarship given to students in their undergraduate years. The reward may be used however the winner chooses. Additionally, recipients will get a free student membership to Shape America for an entire year. The deadline for submission of the application materials is October 15.

All children should have the chance to enjoy healthy, active lives, according to Shape America – Society of Health and Physical Educators. The goal of Shape America is to develop professional practice and encourage research in the fields of health and physical education, sport, dance, and physical activity.

Bill Kane Undergraduate Scholarship Eligibility –

  1. Candidates must have Citizenship in the US.
  2. Any undergraduate student majoring in school-based health education at an authorized institution or university in the United States or a U.S. territory is eligible for the prize.
  3. For the fall and spring semesters of the academic year, the student is applying for, the candidate must be enrolled full-time (12 hours) at a college or institution.
  4. The applicant must be a student who is currently a sophomore, junior, or senior.
  5. At the time of the Shape America application deadline, candidates had to have a minimum, current overall grade point average of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale.

Application Required to Apply for the Scholarship –

A Resume – Include a current CV with your application that lists your extracurricular and community service endeavors (including work with professional organizations, your school, and your neighborhood) as well as any accolades or awards you may have received academically in the last two years.

An Essay – Include a paper outlining your interest in health education, your professional and career aspirations, and what you expect to achieve as a health educator both now and in the future. (Your essay should be between 400 and 450 words long)

A transcript – Current PDF transcript of all completed college coursework, including the fall semester, should be annexed.
