Scholarships are given by the Florida Stormwater Association Educational Foundation (FSAEF) to deserving college and university students in Florida who have an interest in stormwater science, engineering, or finance. The FSAEF will give out $2,000 scholarships in 2022. August 12, 2022, is the deadline for applications. During the FSA Winter Conference in December, the scholarships for 2022 will be awarded.

About FSA Scholarship

For graduating high school seniors and young adults, FSA offers college scholarships in collaboration with its reliable retail partners. Candidates must be employed at a partnering food outlet and be pursuing an undergraduate degree in order to be eligible. FSA fosters people’s interest in the food sector while inspiring and motivating those who have a desire for education. Working with large grocery stores, as well as their suppliers, vendors, and distributors, helps our organization fulfill its purpose. We plan and execute fundraising events together to support the FSA Scholarship Program.

Some of the following Important Points to fill the applications:

The following information must be submitted by candidates in order for FSAEF to receive it by August 12, 2022, in order to be considered for the scholarship. At the conclusion of each section below, the maximum amount of points for each judging criterion is stated:

  1. A completely filled-out application.
  2. A transmittal letter requesting the prize. A brief personal sketch outlining your interest in stormwater and a discussion of your stormwater-related career ambitions should be included in the letter. The letter should also explain why you need the scholarship and how you plan to spend it – 15 Points
  3. A recommendation letter from your primary professor – 5 points
  4. A sealed copy of your academic records. Please provide a contact phone number so we can confirm the postal address if the transcripts are being received directly from the college – 10 points
  5. A compact (two or three pages) paper summarising a recent stormwater project or research endeavour in which you participated, or a quick paper outlining the significance of stormwater management in modern society. 20 points.
