This $2,000 scholarship is given every two years to a photography-focused student who is enrolled in or has been admitted to, a higher education school. Janie Moore Greene’s generosity has made this grant possible.

With the help of photography, the North American Nature Photography Association (NANPA) Foundation aims to increase public understanding and appreciation of nature. Our goal is to promote nature photography that is ethical and supports activism, education, conservation, and photographic possibilities.

Donations to the NANPA Foundation, which operates as a charitable – non-profit organization, are tax deductible and play a critical role in advancing the field of nature photography as both a career and a hobby.

Janie Moore Greene Scholarship Grant, Eligibility:

1. Applicants must specialize in the study of photography, be presently enrolled in, or have just been accepted to, a higher education school, and meet other requirements. This comprises 2-year and 4-year institutions, as well as photography, art, and design schools.
2. Scholarship payments will be made directly to the higher education institution where the student is enrolled or will enroll.
3. Both graduate and undergraduate students may apply.
4. This award is not open to relatives of the Selection Committee members.
5. The grant recipient is required to produce a video presentation defining his or her photographic history and outlining how the grant will affect him or her within 45 days of being notified of the award.
