About Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award

Scholarship America | The award is available to classical musicians, singers, and composers between the ages of 8 and 18 who have not yet enrolled in college for the 2022–2023 academic year. Seniors in high school must meet this deadline. Students that are younger may still apply. April 15, 2023, is Deadline III. A one-time, non-renewable grant of up to $10,000 is given in conjunction with full participation in the Learning and Media Lab Fellowship by From the Top as part of the Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award.

About 20 pre-collegiate musicians between the ages of 8 and 18 are selected by From the Top each year to earn the Award. To aid with the often excessively high expenditures of studying classical music at a high level, the Award is offered to motivated and devout pre-collegiate artists who have financial needs.

Applications for both the Learning and Media Lab Fellowship program and the Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award are accepted by From the Top. There is no need for you to submit two separate applications. For further information, see the “How To Apply” section below.

Academic Credential: Students Enrolled Full-time in Elementary, Middle, or High school.

  1. Classical musicians, singers, and composers are enrolled full-time in elementary, middle, or high school and have not yet started college.
  2. Applicants must be legal residents of America.
  3. The applicants must have age 8-18 yrs.

Application Required:-

  • At least two unaltered, unimproved samples of your music in video or audio form to upload to the application portal.
  • Two teachers who are willing to suggest you in writing (a music teacher and an academic teacher) have provided their contact information. After you’ve submitted your online application, they will receive additional instructions and forms.
  • A copy of your most recent academic transcripts, as well as a copy of your family’s most recent tax returns with all schedules, attachments, and W2 forms.
