About Teague Design Scholarship

Teague is a design and innovation firm that works with businesses in the automotive, aerospace, retail and e-commerce, smart cities, telecommunications, and technology sectors to develop the next big thing. Leading the way in physical and digital product, service, and experience design, Teague collaborates with innovative companies like Amazon, Boeing, Google, Starbucks, and NASA to find new opportunities and tackle challenging issues in order to build the future. It takes bravery to challenge the present quo in order to create desired futures; varied perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds are necessary. In collaboration with UNCF, Teague will award four need-based scholarships to college juniors and seniors who are motivated to envision, prototype, rethink, challenge, illuminate, and design the future and who want to pursue a career in design.

Students enrolled full-time in industrial design, interior design, exterior design, design visualization, interaction design, graphic design, mechanical design, systems design, technical design, research, strategy, fabrication, or related subjects are eligible for the UNCF Teague Design Scholarship. You must be identified as a person of color, have a minimum GPA of 2.5, and be a U.S. citizen/permanent resident/national to be eligible for this award. A design portfolio of work, academic achievement, and a personal statement outlining career objectives are used to make the decision.

Important Term related to Scholarship –

Minimum GPA: 2.5

Ethnicities: African American/Black, Asian Pacific Islander American, American Indian – Alaska Native, and Hispanic American.

Candidates Resident: U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, or Lawful resident.

Candidate’s Academic Qualification: Junior, Senior, and Senior of the Fifth Year in College.

Teague Design Scholarship Eligibility –

Each Candidate must be an American national, citizen, or lawful permanent resident
Be individuals who identify as non-white and are not white, including those who are of mixed races.
Attend any 4-year accredited institution or university full-time as a full-time College Junior, College Senior, or College 5the Year Senior in Fall 2022.
Each applicant must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
A declared major in one of the design disciplines listed below, which may include industrial design, interior design, exterior design, design visualization, interaction design, graphic design, mechanical design, systems design, technical design, research, strategy, fabrication, or other design areas.
