All Candidates are requested to follow the instructions given below & Apply. Students between the ages of 15 and 18 who exhibit talent in the performing, literary, visual, or design arts are eligible to compete. There is a $35 application fee, but if you fit the criteria, it may be eliminated. Each and every one of the prize winners receive crucial, ongoing encouragement to help them advance throughout their artistic careers.
YoungArts, a charitable group founded in 1981, offers award recipients lifetime opportunities for creative and professional growth while they pursue a career in the arts.
About YoungArts Scholarship
Through our national competition, YoungArts receives applications from thousands of performing, visual, and literary artists between the ages of 15 and 18. Finalists participate in National YoungArts Week to work with peers and advance their skill under the guidance of recognized experts from around the world. A further nomination as a U.S. Presidential Scholar in the Arts, one of the country’s highest awards for high school students, is open to finalists in their senior year.
All award recipients, including Finalist, Merit, and Honorable Mention award levels, receive mentorship and monetary prizes, have access to a lifetime of funding and professional development opportunities and join a positive, intergenerational community that fosters connections, collaboration, and creativity among artists.

Excellence, collaboration, inclusivity, experimentation, respect, and integrity are the guiding principles of the YoungArt Competition. Our efforts to give artists access to resources including funding, community, mentorship, and professional growth are supported by these ideas. YoungArts Scholarship Eligibility-
- Candidates must either be citizens of the United States, be lawful permanent residents, or be eligible to legitimately earn taxable income in the United States.
- Applicants must all be young artists in grades 10–12 or between the ages of 15 and 18 as of December 1, 2022.
